In 2006, conservationists working with the RSPB and Birdlife International created the Albatross Task Force. Since then, this campaign to save the Albatross has become a remarkable success.

The homeowners group of Rossmoor, a community located just east of San Francisco, have rejected help from Audubon California and decided to go forward with the plan to shoot 50 Acorn Woodpeckers to prevent them from drilling holes in their homes.
