Rossmoor Rejects Audubon’s Help, Opts to Shoot Woodpeckers

The homeowners group of Rossmoor, a community located just east of San Francisco, have rejected help from Audubon California and decided to go forward with the plan to shoot 50 Acorn Woodpeckers to prevent them from drilling holes in their homes.

Charlie Sobcov, an eighth grader from Ottawa, Canada invented plastic decals that that will help prevent birds from flying into windows. What’s different about his decals is that they are clear. They are coated with a special ultraviolet paint.
