Michael Brune, the Executive Director of the Sierra Club, talks about his visit to the oil spill in the Gulf and what you can do to help.

This video is a recording of a live video chat on Ustream earlier this week. In it, Michael talks about what he saw as he flew over a portion of the oil spill. He says:

It defies description.

He also discusses what the Sierra Club is doing to help and what they believe are the essential actions that need to be taken immediately and in the future to ensure this doesn’t happen again. The last half of the video Michael answers questions from viewers.

As like many of you, I’ve been keeping a close eye on what is happening in the Gulf. So I though that Michael doing a live chat was an awesome idea! I really like it when organizations use social media and modern tools to stay connected and keep people informed. I hope I see more of these!
