Father And Son Rescue Bald Eagle
A father and son rescue a Bald Eagle from the frigid waters of the Columbia River near Astoria, Oregon.
Sharnelle Fee, of the Wildlife Center of the North Coast, said that the bird was weak, hypothermic and probably was in the water for over an hour.
From Oregon Live:
Fee also noted that the eagle had a brood patch, indicating he was helping to incubate eggs. The center worked quickly to warm him, wash him and release him so he could get back to his offspring the next day.
They not only saved the Bald Eagle, but also helped to ensure the bird’s eggs will make it also!
