White Blackbird
This might officially be the week of rare colored birds! Fiona Crofts photographed this white blackbird in her back garden in Deeping St. James, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
First it was the black pengiun, then the white Atlantic Puffin and now this white blackbird!
Fiona said:
I was getting ready for work and looked into my garden and saw a white bird.
I thought it was a dove but when I reached for my glasses and saw it, it was actually a blackbird.
Okay, who else out there has photos of albino, leucistic or melanistic birds? Am I the only one that doesn’t!
Update: Fiona Crofts added more of her photos of the white blackbird to the Burdr Flickr group!
