Pileated Woodpecker By Dan Waltz
I enjoy seeing finished works of art, but I really enjoy seeing the process the artist went through to make them. See Dan Waltz create a water color painting of a male Pileated Woodpecker in his latest blog post.
You can definitely see that a lot of time, effort and talent went into creating this painting.
There’s really no easy or quick way to paint feathers. You just have to paint one at a time. Overlapping each one like shingles on a roof. About a million lines, a lot of shading and about a gallon of patience would be a good recipe.
