The Hakodate Birding blog has a huge two part blog post featuring some favorite photos from 2009.
Stella, the blogger behind Hakodate Birding, describes himself as
an English expat living in smalltown Hokkaido in the north of Japan. I fill my days looking for birds to photograph and occasionally teaching the locals a bit of English.
Between the two “best of 2009″ blog posts, there are almost 40 photos. All of them were taken on Hokkaido, which is Japan’s second largest island. There really are some great photos in the bunch. Some of my favorites are those crossbills!
