Dawn is increasing donations to the International Bird Rescue Research Center and Marine Mammal Center from $1 to $3 per bottle until January 4th, 2010.

In support of our rescue activities Dawn Dishwashing Liquid are currently running a campaign where purchases of their product supports the work of International Bird Rescue as well as the Marine Mammal Center. For the next 3 weeks (until January 4th) they will be increasing the donation for every bottle purchased and activated online from $1 to $3. This increase is an effort to support our recent activities in response to a large algal bloom off the coast of Oregon and Washington which affected thousands of loons, grebes, murres and scoters.

Activating your bottle of Dawn online is extremely easy. All you need is the donation code from the bottle, your zip code and what store you bought it at (Target, Wal-Mart, etc). If you live in the United Sates or Canada, visit Dawn’s interactive map to see how much your state or province has contributed so far. The goal is half a million US dollars. Last I checked, they’re over half way there!
