California Condor Paper Craft
Here’s a fun and inexpensive crafty bird project that’s not as difficult as it may look. Hey if I can do it, you definitely can too!
On the Yamaha Japan website, there is an entire section devoted to paper crafts. They have instructions for all types of stuff from vehicles to animals. Of course my favorites are the bird ones. You’ll find a variety of bird paper craft plans in the Rare Animals of Japan and the Rare Animals of the World sections.
Each set of plans include a PDF with the patterns for printing and another PDF with the assembly instructions. You will also need an X-acto knife for cutting out the patterns, glue, and heavy weight paper. I went with a fast drying paper crafting glue I found at the local craft store. This way I didn’t have to hold each piece forever!

California Condor Paper Craft Leg Instructions
The instructions are well illustrated and easy to understand. It kind of reminded me of my Lego projects when I was younger.
The entire California Condor paper craft project took me about 2 hours. Not too bad since I’ve never done anything like this before.
I like projects like this because they’re fun and don’t cost very much. All I had to buy was the glue! Plus, if you mess up a part, you can just print the pattern out again!
Check out the Yamaha paper crafts site for the instructions to this California Condor or try one of their other projects. Take pictures of your creations and leave a link in the comments!
