Bird Sites On The Web Over The Last Decade

Submitted by on December 31, 2009 – 5:03 pm2 Comments

Since we’re entering a new decade, I decided to play around with the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to see how things have changed on the web since 2000. Take a look at some of these birding sites from earlier this decade!

Click the images to visit either the older or newer version of the website. The Wayback Machine keeps a working copy of the old site.

On Wikipedia you can browse previous revisions to all their articles. The term bird was added to Wikipedia in September of 2001. The entry was only a few paragraphs in length. Now, there are thousands and thousands of words and dozens of pictures!

If you explore the Wayback Machine and come across anything else that might be interesting or just silly, post a link to it in the comments!
