Put A Snag In Your Garden

Red-bellied Woodpecker by Bird Girl

Red-bellied Woodpecker from My Bird Tales

Sometimes the best things don’t have to be brand new. I really like what Bird Girl did. She placed a snag in her garden. A snag can be an old dead tree or even a stump. In her case, it’s an old fence post that her husband dug up. From here she feeds the birds mealworms, oranges, and suet. Such a great idea! Definitely check out all her photos of the birds in action.
