Father Goose aka Bill Lishman

This is a wonderful video of Father Goose, also know as Bill Lishman, teaching birds how to migrate with an ultralight aircraft. You may have heard of Operation Migration which Bill co-founded with Joe Duff back in 1994. You can follow their current migration in the Field Journal on the Operation Migration website.

Watching the video, I can’t help but get just a little bit jealous. What a great job! Maybe he would allow passengers on his next journey.

    I remember this story from the movie Fly Away Home.I had never seen this video of the real man.It brought tears to my eyes and goose bumps.It was so moving and heartwarming.To be that close to Nature is to be in the presence of greatness.Thank you for sharing this!
